Just as the internet bubble burst in 2000, with one employee working out of the family garage, Finestationery.com has grown to become a national leader in the customized stationery industry. Today, our employees are dedicated to making ordering invitations, birth announcements, wedding invitations and holiday cards online an easy and stress-free experience.

The company owes its inspiration to Maggie Swanson, a born entrepreneur who took a day in the life of every young mother and turned it into a business opportunity. Having just relocated from Los Angeles to Wilmington, Delaware, Maggie was nine months pregnant with baby number three, and quietly dreaded the idea of dragging two toddlers into the local stationery store to select and buy new birth announcements. Days before her due date, Maggie shot out of bed at 3AM with a revelation: stationery shopping should be about convenience and the internet could provide the perfect platform! Maggie spent the rest of the night confirming her hunch; there was not one website that provided customized, personalized invitations and announcements online. She immediately began securing domain names and www.finestationery.com was born.

Maggie enlisted the help of her husband Matt to develop a business plan and infrastructure needed to launch the company. She built a strong customer service team, chose the best vendors to work with and developed an interactive web experience that has come to define the company's dedication to customer ease and convenience.

Today, the depth of products offered is without rival and includes such well-known brands as Crane & Co., William Arthur and Boatman Gellar.
