Order Information
Sample Orders
A sample of the card/invitation can be purchased for $2.00. Due to the expense of obtaining and shipping incurred from the manufacturer, we must charge for this. Samples are available for many cards on our website. If you are interested in ordering a sample, click on the small picture of the card you are interested in seeing. This will take you to a larger picture of the same card. Details of the card are located on the right side of the card. Simply click on the button marked "Order a sample for $2" and the card will be added to your Shopping Bag. You can then either continue shopping, or simply click on the small Shopping Bag link in the upper right corner of the screen. Samples are not available for all cards. If there is no sample button visible on the card you are interested in, contact Customer Service toll free at 1-888-808-FINE, to see if a sample can be ordered. The product sample will be blank, for you to examine the color, weight and quality; it may not include printing. Delivery of a sample typically takes 2-4 weeks.
Digital Photo Upload
Digital photo cards make for memorable greetings and birth announcements, which is why many recipients save them as keepsakes long after they have been sent. Ensure that the quality of your cards will make a lasting impression by abiding by these general guidelines:
- The digital camera you use to take your photo should be at least 3 megapixels (this means that a camera phone will generally not suffice)
- Make sure that your camera is set to the highest quality setting.
- Make sure your camera’s digital zoom feature is turned off before taking a photo
- If you are scanning an already printed photo, set the resolution of your scanner to 300 DPI or higher
- Submit a photo that meets the vendor file requirements
- Consider how your photo size and shape will correspond with the photo card design
Keep in mind that the quality of the final product depends heavily upon the quality of the original photo you submit. Read your camera’s manual to learn more about how to create the best print-quality photo.

Typesetter's Proof
What is a Typesetter's Proof?
A professional typesetter from the stationery manufacturer will typeset your text in the final and exact layout requested in your order. While your layout request will be followed as closely as possible, sometimes adjustments are necessary. As soon as the proof is available from the typesetter, your Stationery Consultant will email a black and white copy of your text to you. Typically proofs are sent to you approximately 3 business days after your order has been processed by the stationery manufacturer, but this time may be longer during the holiday season.
How much does a Typesetter's Proof cost?
A professional typeset proof costs $10. FineStationery.com passes along the proof charges imposed by the stationery manufacturer.
How do I order a Typesetter's Proof?
You will be given the opportunity to purchase a Typesetter's proof in the checkout process.
How does a Typesetter's Proof affect my estimated delivery time?
You can expect to receive a proof approximately 3 business days after your order has been processed by the stationery manufacturer, but this time may be longer during the holiday season. Upon final approval of the proof, normal print processing times can be expected.
